An agent skill by cursor, from cursor/plugins. Tags: cleanup, code-review, documentation, github, review.
What it does
Prepare PRs for review by cleaning noisy history, improving PR descriptions, and adding reviewer guidance without changing code behavior. Use for "make this easy to review", "tidy this PR", "clean up commits", or "annotate the diff".
Install
With the skills CLI, which installs into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents:
npx skills add cursor/plugins --skill make-pr-easy-to-review
Or copy the skill folder into Claude Code's skills directory by hand (~/.claude/skills for every project, or .claude/skills inside one):
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/cursor/plugins
cp -r plugins/cursor-team-kit/skills/make-pr-easy-to-review ~/.claude/skills/make-pr-easy-to-review
Safety box score
Grade C, moderate risk: 30 of 100 risk points, rated 2026-10-16. The grade rates what the skill and its scripts can reach on the machine of whoever installs it, across eight categories from shell execution to secrets access. How the score works.
This skill is a GitHub/git helper for making pull requests easier to review: it inspects PR metadata, diffs, and commit history, and it may rewrite branch history if the user agrees. The main risks are shelling out to `gh`/`git` against the user’s authenticated account and mutating local branch history; there is no opaque code or system-level behavior in the files reviewed.
| Category | Level | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Code & shell execution | 2 (moderate) | It explicitly runs shell commands such as `gh pr view <PR> --json title,headRefName,baseRefName,state,commits`, `git fetch origin <headRefName> <baseRefName>`, and `git diff origin/<headRefName> --stat`. |
| Network access | 2 (moderate) | The workflow contacts GitHub via `gh pr view` and `git fetch origin ...`, so it will read remote PR data and refs using the user’s existing network/auth setup. |
| Filesystem reach | 1 (low) | It works inside the current repository and compares trees/branches, but the documented commands do not read or write outside the project directory. |
| Secrets & credentials | 1 (low) | It relies on `gh`/git authentication implicitly, but it does not ask for, print, or manage secret material directly. |
| Privilege & persistence | 0 (none) | There is no sudo, service installation, shell startup editing, or other privilege escalation in `SKILL.md`. |
| Instruction hijack surface | 0 (none) | The instructions do not tell the agent to ignore its rules, hide behavior, or follow externally fetched instructions. |
| Irreversible actions | 2 (moderate) | It can rewrite history when the user asks or agrees to the plan, which is a meaningful repository-side action even though it is gated by consent. |
| Transparency | 0 (none) | The reviewed content is plain markdown with readable commands; there are no binaries, minified blobs, or runtime-downloaded installers. |
Before installing
- Confirm you are comfortable with `gh`/git using your logged-in GitHub account to read PR metadata and fetch refs.
- Only use it on branches where history rewrites are acceptable; avoid shared branches unless collaborators expect rebasing.
- If you may let it rewrite commits, read the history-cleanup section first and verify the tree before any push.
