prioritize-assumptions
An agent skill by phuryn, from phuryn/pm-skills. Tags: brainstorming, debugging, market-analysis, product-strategy, strategy.
What it does
Prioritize assumptions using an Impact × Risk matrix and suggest experiments for each. Use when triaging a list of assumptions, deciding what to test first, or applying the assumption prioritization canvas.
Install
With the skills CLI, which installs into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents:
npx skills add phuryn/pm-skills --skill prioritize-assumptions
Or copy the skill folder into Claude Code's skills directory by hand (~/.claude/skills for every project, or .claude/skills inside one):
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/phuryn/pm-skills
cp -r pm-skills/pm-product-discovery/skills/prioritize-assumptions ~/.claude/skills/prioritize-assumptions
Safety box score
Grade A, minimal risk: 0 of 100 risk points, rated 2026-10-20. The grade rates what the skill and its scripts can reach on the machine of whoever installs it, across eight categories from shell execution to secrets access. How the score works.
This skill is a pure text-only product discovery helper: it ranks assumptions and suggests experiments, but it does not contain scripts, shell commands, or file-writing behavior. The only external interaction is two informational links in the reading section; the main risk is informational rather than operational.
| Category | Level | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Code & shell execution | 0 (none) | No code, scripts, shell commands, or evaluators are present; the file only describes a prioritization process. |
| Network access | 0 (none) | It only includes static reference links under Further Reading and does not fetch from or send data to remote hosts. |
| Filesystem reach | 0 (none) | There are no read/write/delete commands or paths outside the working context. |
| Secrets & credentials | 0 (none) | The skill does not ask for tokens, passwords, key files, or pasted credentials. |
| Privilege & persistence | 0 (none) | No sudo, installs, services, shell startup edits, or other privilege-changing actions are described. |
| Instruction hijack surface | 0 (none) | There are no instructions to ignore policies, hide actions, follow remote instructions, or assume a misleading persona. |
| Irreversible actions | 0 (none) | It advises prioritization and experiment design only; it does not itself post, deploy, pay, book, or delete anything. |
| Transparency | 0 (none) | The skill is fully readable markdown with no binaries, encoded blobs, or generated runtime code. |
